Like many art programs, the RGB Color menu is another common way of defining your own color. RGB Color defines colors by specifying different amounts of Red, Green and Blue. All colors can be produced by mixing these three primary colors.
The following picture from Wikipedia illustrates how the three primary colors interact with each other:
It's useful to remember:
- Red + Green = Yellow
- Red + Blue = Magenta
- Green + Blue = Cyan
- Red + Green + Blue = White
You can adjust RGB values using RGB sliders in Magic Poser. Let's learn more about how to use them.
RGB sliders
In the example below, you can see how the RGB sliders work in action. We will start with a black geometric square (black has 0 red, green and blue), and change the amount of red, green and blue to show you the effect of each:
- Red Slider: Determines the amount of red in your color. The left most clip shows the effect of the Red Slider. Sliding left reduces the amount of red, while sliding right increases it.
- Green Slider: Determines the amount of green in your color. The middle clip shows the effect of the Green Slider. Sliding left reduces the amount of green, sliding right increases it.
- Blue Slider: Determines the amount of Blue in your color. The right clip shows the effect of the Green Slider. Sliding left reduces the amount of blue, sliding right increases it.
Use the RGB Color menu
- In 3D Editor, tap to select a character, prop or light in your scene to open the Action menu at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the Color button
to open the Color menu.
- Then tap "RGB" in the top bar to open the RGB Color menu.
- You can adjust the R, G and B values by dragging on the corresponding sliders. You can see the resulting color being applied to your selected object as you drag the sliders.
